Wow... at first glance, this might not seem like big news to you. Macromedia is being acquired by Adobe for a mere 3.4 billion dollars. Unless you're in the news or publication industry, you might just shrug and go on about your lives...
Well, this is big news people. Macromedia is the maker of Dreamweaver and one of the leading advocates of Flash, a streaming media that allows for some amazing graphical websites. Adobe is the creator of the PDF file, which is fast becoming the Internet standard for documents traffic. When you add these two together, the possibilities for a much more richer online experience is endless... And I promise you that Microsoft is worrying more than just a little bit...
